A former litigator and general counsel with more than twenty years of experience managing the regulatory requirements of financial institutions, Ms. Salomon co-founded CRSTL Solutions to help organizations meet the challenges of today’s increasingly complex and demanding compliance and governance regimes. Ms. Salomon was senior vice president, chief compliance officer, chief privacy officer, company ombudsman and director of Lombard Canada Ltd. and a past director and chairman of the Property and Casualty Insurance Compensation Corporation. She has served as a member of the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Special Committee on Insolvencies. Ms Salomon is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, and former Chair of the Technology Section.
David Pauls joined CRSTL Solutions in 2006 as a Senior Compliance Database Developer. Mr. Pauls was recently promoted to Director of Content Development, with responsibility for all aspects of CRSTL’s governance, risk, and compliance content and its ongoing currency with new legislative developments.
Prior to joining CRSTL, Mr. Pauls lectured on Canadian law at China’s Southwest University of Political Science and Law, clerked for the Superior Court of Justice (Ontario), and was a legal writer for Thomson Carswell. Mr. Pauls holds an Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto, and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.
